Allison Ray - Organic Food Gift Baskets

This website was created out of the love for growing organic foods and cooking. I am Italian, and from a very early age I can remember watching Ma LaRosa, (dad's mom) cooking huge meals from food in her garden. Ma could cook anything and everyone knew it, so when they had extra food for their garden they always brought it to her. She would cook up an Italian dish for her family and one for the family who had shared their produce.

Our family has always been big on giving handmade gifts, some of the gifts have been more sophisticated then others. When Drew (now 14) was young, he and I would bake cookies and put them into recycled gift baskets we bought from goodwill for Christmas every year. These simple gift baskets were tasty, thoughtful affordable gifts. We still make cookies every year, but usually now we give them in recycled tins. My dad uses his tin all year and leaves it on the counter when it is empty for a treat refill of what ever organic goodie we are baking that week.

Gift baskets are a staple gift for the "Ray's". Depending on the occasion and time constraints we make organic gift baskets from produce we grow in our garden or goodies that we bake, when time allows. Often, I order organic food gift baskets on line and have them shipped directly to friends and family.
